Senior Camp

Te Kura o Pātiki has a senior camp every second year and includes all Year 5 and 6 students. We currently have camp at Carey Park, situated in Henderson Valley.

School camp enables students to further their learning and social skills development in a non-school setting. Camps may have a cultural, environmental or outdoor emphasis and are an important aspect of the educational programs offered at our school. It is the goal of the staff at Rosebank School and Carey Park that every child has a fun and safe experience at camp.

Camp does come with a cost, but we try to keep this as low as possible by fundraising throughout the year.

Aims of camp:

  • to provide children with the opportunity to participate in education outside the classroom

  • to provide shared class experiences and a sense of group cohesiveness

  • to reinforce and extend classroom learning

  • to provide a program that delivers skills and knowledge

  • to provide a program that promotes self-esteem, resourcefulness, independence, leadership, judgement, cooperation and tolerance

Our next camp will be in 2025, and we cannot wait.
