About Me

Kia ora! I'm Sophy. I've been at Rosebank School for 2 years but have been a teacher for 15 years. My experiences as a teacher gave me meaningful insights into the various characters of our children. Each child is different! So each child deserves a custom-made tailored approach for learning. Let's face it! No one likes to study! So my main goal for Room 16 is to make learning fun so that children are mentally stimulated to want to know more. I provide opportunities and challenges that mould my students into our leaders of the future! I'm a strong advocate of persisting during tough times and I hope to instill in them this valuable trait. In my free time, I enjoy some heavy-duty gardening and pretty much anything gardening related. Also, NERD ALERT, I love solving math puzzles. I welcome all parents to come chat with me some time about gardening or their child!
